In June, Samsung partnered with Hyundai Motor to supply its advanced in-vehicle infotainment processor Exynos Auto V920 by 2025, which is capable of processing driving data in real time as well as playing multimedia and games. Samsung said in July that it began mass production of UFS3.1 (Universal Flash Storage) storage chips for in-vehicle infotainment systems, which have significant improvements in energy efficiency. In terms of manufacturing, there have been recent rumors that Samsung will use its 4nm technology to produce Tesla's fifth-generation HW5.0 chips. Since 2019, Samsung has supplied FSD (full self-driving) chips to Tesla on its 14nm node. Samsung aims to produce 2nm automotive chips by 2027.
