New rules from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) require that all newly produced passenger cars and light trucks must be equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) technology starting in 2029. This technology can significantly reduce traffic accidents, especially pedestrian-related accidents.
