New rules from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) require that all newly produced passenger cars and light trucks must be equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) technology starting in 2029. This technology can significantly reduce traffic accidents, especially pedestrian-related accidents. As a leader, Mobileye has accumulated a large amount of actual driving data, and its AEB system has been widely used around the world. According to a report by the Partnership for Analysis and Research in Traffic Safety (PARTS), vehicles equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), especially AEB, have reduced forward collision accidents by 49%.
