BYD Global R&D Center Planning Permit and Master Plan Announcement

BYD Company announced that the planning permission and master plan of its global R&D center have been released. The center is located on the southeast side of Xinbuxin Road and the north side of Danzi Avenue in Baolong Street, Longgang District, with a total land area of ​​about 650,000 square meters and an estimated total investment of 20 billion yuan. The first phase of the project covers an area of ​​660,000 square meters, including 1.32 million square meters of R&D space and 300,000 square meters of talent supporting apartments. BYD's global R&D center plans to set up more than 50 cutting-edge technology laboratories and 11 major research institutes, covering automotive engineering, product planning and new technology research. It is expected to attract more than 60,000 high-end R&D personnel worldwide, of which the proportion of masters and doctors will exceed 50%.
