LG Display begins mass production of first 40-inch automotive display

LG Display has begun mass production of the industry's first 40-inch Pillar to Pillar (P2P) ultra-large automotive display. The display spans the entire dashboard, covering the driver and front passenger areas, providing users with a personalized infotainment experience. The display can display multiple functions at the same time, including the digital instrument panel, navigation, climate control, entertainment and games, without switching screens. The display is also equipped with Switchable Privacy Mode technology, which can control the viewing angle of the screen to ensure that the driver is not distracted by the front passenger's use of the screen. The first model equipped with this technology is Sony Honda's Afeela electric sedan.
