On September 6, 2024, the third orbital plane of Geely's Future Mobility Constellation was successfully launched at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, with a total of 10 satellites launched. So far, the constellation has 30 satellites in orbit, achieving 24-hour coverage of 90% of the world, and has begun to provide satellite communication services to overseas users. This is the first attempt by a Chinese commercial aerospace company. The project is planned to be carried out in three phases. The first phase will deploy 72 satellites, the second phase plans to deploy 264 mobile phone direct connection satellites, and the third phase plans to deploy 5,676 communication satellites.
