PIMAS, Cerence and HARMAN Collaborate to Launch SAM Driver Assist System for the Hearing Impaired

PIMAS, together with Cerence and HARMAN, launched the SAM (Smart Assistant Monitor) driver assistance system, which is designed for people with hearing impairments. This system integrates the in-car communication system and the sound detection function of emergency vehicles and horns to help drivers fully perceive the surrounding environment. SAM has been successfully installed on many trucks of AFTRAL, the largest driving school for transport and logistics drivers in France, and has helped many hearing-impaired students successfully obtain professional driving licenses.
