Qinglan Semiconductor production reached 1.6 million units

The GAC Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park located in Hualong Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou has started construction one after another, including a silicon carbide module manufacturer-Guangzhou Qinglan Semiconductor. Yang Xiaojie, general manager of Qinglan Semiconductor, revealed that one production line produces one module in about one minute, with an annual output of 400,000; there are 4 different product production lines in the entire plant, including IGBT modules and silicon carbide modules, with an annual output of 1.6 million. However, in December 2023, Qinglan Semiconductor announced at the IGBT project commissioning ceremony that their total investment in the project was 463 million yuan. After the two phases of the project reach full production, the IGBT module production capacity can reach 800,000 units/year, which is a certain gap from the above 1.6 million pieces. For this reason, industry insiders estimate that Qinglan Semiconductor may build two SiC module production lines with an annual production capacity of 800,000 units.
