Micron Launches New DDR5 DRAM Using EUV Lithography on 1γ Process

377
Memory giant Micron has launched the first new DDR5 DRAM using the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology in the 1γ (1-gamma; sixth-generation 10-nanometer node) process. This new DRAM has begun to provide samples to notebook and server manufacturers for verification. Micron emphasized that this DRAM will have higher performance than 1β (1-beta), lower power consumption, and higher bit density. It will provide support for five major applications including data, mobile phones, AI PCs, smart cars, and games.
