Volkswagen Group adjusts battery factory production capacity plan

According to reports, a spokesman for the works council of Volkswagen Group's battery subsidiary PowerCo said that Volkswagen Group Technical Director Thomas Schmall showed a slide at a recent employee meeting, which showed that PowerCo's plant in Salzgitter, Germany plans to build only one production line with a total capacity of 20GWh. Of the two production lines originally planned to be built, only one is under construction, and the plan for the second production line has been shelved. This means that Volkswagen plans to temporarily reduce the production capacity of the Salzgitter plant at this stage.
