EU approves Nokia's acquisition of Infinera

The European Commission announced on Wednesday (February 26) that it had unconditionally approved Nokia's $2.3 billion (about 16.7 billion yuan) acquisition of Infinera, a US optical semiconductor and network equipment manufacturer. Through this acquisition, Nokia will become the second largest supplier in the optical network market, with a 20% market share, second only to a Chinese company.
