BAIC New Energy and Pony.ai start second phase of cooperative research and development

BAIC New Energy and Pony.ai have started the second phase of cooperative research and development, focusing on areas such as V2X vehicle-road collaboration and dynamic update of high-precision maps. The new fully unmanned Robotaxi model jointly developed by BAIC New Energy and Pony.ai will meet the conditions for market operation by the end of July 2025. The model is jointly developed based on the Alpha T5 platform of the Arctic Fox and the seventh-generation autonomous driving system of Pony.ai. The first batch of 1,000-unit Robotaxi models will be equipped with BAIC New Energy's IMC intelligent module architecture and Pony.ai's perception algorithm.
