TSMC considers investing in Korean AI chip design startup FuriosaAI

Taiwanese chip manufacturing giant TSMC is considering a strategic investment in Korean AI chip design startup FuriosaAI. FuriosaAI revealed in a statement that they have been in investment negotiations with TSMC since the fourth quarter of last year, which will be part of their financing plan. It is understood that this investment will be independent of the previous merger agreement with Meta. At present, the specific size and terms of the investment are still under discussion.
