Saida Semiconductor was established in October 2023 and is wholly owned by Wensheng Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., whose controlling shareholder and actual controller is Wei Jianjun, chairman of Great Wall Motors. As early as May 2023, the Great Wall Holdings Bidding Center issued a document stating that it had launched the "Seiko Automation SiC Epitaxial Plant Renovation Design Project"; in September 2023, the project was settled in Xushui Economic Development Zone, Baoding City, Hebei Province. The contracting party was Wensheng Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., and the main builder was Saida Semiconductor.
