BMW recalls vehicles in China

BMW has launched a recall in the Chinese market, involving multiple models, totaling about 360,000 delivered vehicles. The reason is that the electrical signal of the motor position sensor of the integrated brake booster (DSCi) is disturbed, which may affect the functions of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control system (DSC). Due to the large-scale recall of the brake-by-wire system (brake), it will seriously affect the annual profit. The recall cost in the third quarter will reach 300 million US dollars, and the sluggish demand in the Chinese market further threatens sales and profits.
