Germany's Rheinmetall adjusts its business focus to defense equipment production

Faced with the continued downturn in the European automotive industry, Germany's Rheinmetall has decided to shift the focus of its two major automotive parts factories in Berlin and Neuss to defense equipment production, especially the manufacture of weapons and ammunition products and parts. Although the two factories will still retain some automotive parts production lines, the company has regarded ammunition production as a key direction.
