The company said that the laid-off employees will receive an N+1 economic compensation plan. The layoffs are seen as Polestar Technology's full withdrawal from the Chinese market, with only a small number of after-sales personnel retained to handle subsequent matters. With the overall contraction of personnel, Polestar Automobile's store operating rights in China will be temporarily returned to Polestar China headquarters, and a streamlined sales system may be rebuilt in the future. It is understood that the company that laid off employees this time is Polestar Technology, which was established in June 2023, and most of its employees were transferred from Polestar China.
