Resonac plans to expand SiC production capacity and obtain government subsidies

Resonac plans to invest approximately 30 billion yen (about 1.5 billion yuan) to expand its silicon carbide production capacity and add a SiC substrate production line at its Yamagata Prefecture plant. Mass production is expected to begin in 2027, and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide a maximum subsidy of 10.3 billion yen (about 500 million yuan).
