SAIC Volkswagen's first factory stopped production, marking the end of an era

SAIC Volkswagen's first factory, which witnessed the golden age and the decline of domestic joint venture automakers, has stopped production. The factory mainly produces small models such as Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia, and stopped production in July 2022. Some production lines have been transferred to Yizheng, Jiangsu. At the same time, the second factory has merged shifts, and the third factory is planned to be merged in the second half of this year.
