Sinotrans and Pony.ai achieve first cross-provincial high-speed intelligent connected heavy truck demonstration application

Sinotrans and Pony.ai have been approved to launch the demonstration application of intelligent connected heavy trucks on the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "inter-provincial high-speed demonstration application"), and will work together to provide the country's first autonomous driving inter-provincial high-speed freight service. Pony.ai's inter-provincial high-speed demonstration application is of great significance to the development of domestic autonomous driving trunk logistics. It breaks through the limited test area within a single province and city and realizes the cross-provincial implementation of autonomous driving smart logistics scenarios. In December 2021, Sinotrans and Pony.ai reached a strategic cooperation and established a joint venture company, Qingzhui Logistics. As of now, Qingzhui Logistics' autonomous driving truck test mileage has exceeded 1 million kilometers, with a total freight weight of nearly 20 million tons.
