Amprius signs $15 million order with unnamed drone company

On February 25, Amprius, a silicon-based negative electrode battery company, signed a $15 million order for SiCore lithium-ion battery cells with an unnamed drone manufacturer, which is expected to be delivered to customers in the second half of 2025. Although Amprius did not disclose details of the customer or the drone using its SiCore batteries, the company said the order was placed by the customer after field trials on a "fixed-wing drone platform."
