It is reported that Xpeng Motors' extended-range vehicle project has completed the designation of core components in the first half of this year. The first extended-range vehicle is under full development and is expected to start mass production in the second half of 2025. This extended-range vehicle will be a large SUV, with an internal project codename of G01, and will be mass-produced at Xpeng Motors' second Huangpu plant in Guangzhou. The range extender for Xpeng Motors' first extended-range vehicle has been selected from Dong'an Power, which has previously provided range extender components to Ideal Auto. Regarding this news, Xpeng Motors officials said that they will share more relevant information on the 1024 Technology Day.
