The European electric vehicle market has recently encountered a cold snap, and sales have continued to decline. According to the latest data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), in July this year, sales of pure electric vehicles in Europe fell by 10.8% year-on-year to 103,000 units, accounting for only 12.1% of the overall new car market. Among them, Germany, as the largest automobile market in Europe, saw a sharp drop in pure electric vehicle sales of 36.8%. Faced with such a market situation, automakers may face fines of up to 15 billion euros for exceeding carbon emissions and failing to meet the EU's 2025 emission targets.
