Sunny Optical Technology's mobile phone lens shipments hit a new high, and camera module shipments fell below 40 million for the first time

According to an announcement released by Sunny Optical Technology (02382.HK) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company's shipments of mobile phone lenses in August reached 124 million, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%. However, its shipments of mobile phone camera modules have declined, with shipments of only 39.63 million in August, a year-on-year decrease of 25.2%. This is the first time in nearly 17 months that Sunny Optical's mobile phone camera module shipments have fallen below 40 million. In this regard, a front-line sales manager of an optical manufacturer said that this is mainly because mainstream mobile phone brands including Apple have adopted Sunny Optical's mobile phone lenses, making it the biggest beneficiary during the peak period of brand stocking in the second half of the year. As for mobile phone camera modules, due to the serious internal circulation of the mobile phone industry in the past two years, leading manufacturers such as Q Technology and OFILM have also adjusted their product structure, diverting a lot of mid-to-high-end orders.
