Suzuki Motor starts production at new plant in northern India, plans to become Asia's largest passenger car manufacturing base

Maruti Suzuki, the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor, has completed the first phase of construction and officially started production at its new plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, northern India. The plant is expected to become one of the largest passenger car manufacturing bases in Asia by 2028. The new plant will eventually accommodate four production units, each with an annual production capacity of 250,000 units, and the plant will be gradually expanded in stages before 2028.
