French automotive suppliers association warns: The automotive industry faces the risk of massive unemployment in the coming years

According to reports, Fiev, head of the French automotive suppliers association, warned on September 18 that the automotive industry may face the risk of losing half of its jobs in the next few years due to falling car sales, slowing development of the electric vehicle market and competitive pressure from the Chinese market. Jean-Louis Pech, president of the French Federation of Vehicle Equipment Industries, also expressed similar concerns, believing that jobs in the automotive industry may be reduced by half again in the next five years.
