Audi's Brussels plant to close

The German luxury car manufacturer Audi's Brussels plant in Belgium has officially announced its closure. Despite the continuous expansion of the plant, high logistics costs have made operations difficult. In 2007, Audi took over the plant and renamed it "Audi Brussels" and began producing the Audi A4. In 2018, the plant began mass production of Audi's first all-electric SUV, the Audi e-tron. However, due to sluggish product sales, Audi announced the possibility of closing the Brussels plant in July 2024.
