Chongqing Sanan project successfully launched, promoting large-scale production of 8-inch silicon carbide substrates

Recently, Sanan Optoelectronics announced that its Chongqing Sanan project has successfully achieved the lighting and connection of the substrate factory. The project is an 8-inch silicon carbide substrate supporting factory designed to meet the growing market demand. It is reported that Sanan Optoelectronics and STMicroelectronics have jointly built a factory in Chongqing to jointly promote the large-scale mass production plan of 8-inch silicon carbide (SiC) chips. In addition, Sanan Optoelectronics has also independently invested 7 billion yuan to build an 8-inch silicon carbide substrate factory. The 6-inch production in Hunan is no longer expanding, and the subsequent expansion will be 8-inch.
