Renesas 500W on-board battery charger solution improves the charging experience of two-wheeled electric vehicles

The 500W on-board battery charger solution launched by Renesas Electronics uses advanced gallium nitride (GaN) technology to achieve a peak efficiency of more than 95%. This solution integrates low-power microcontroller RL78/F14, GaN FET TP65H070G4PS and other devices to ensure high system reliability. This solution is not only suitable for two-wheeled electric vehicles, but also for other charger designs such as energy storage, LED dimmable drivers, gaming devices and EV/HEV on-board chargers (OBC).
