The EU has imposed five-year anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, with the highest tax rate being 45.3%.

After a year-long anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers, the European Commission has decided to impose anti-subsidy duties of up to 45.3% for five years. Affected manufacturers include BYD, Geely and SAIC, which were taxed at 17.0%, 18.8% and 35.3% respectively. Tesla was taxed at 7.8% after filing an individual review request. All non-cooperative companies will be taxed at 35.3%. In addition, all electric vehicles imported from China are subject to the EU's standard 10% car import tariff.
