Skoda, the Czech brand under Volkswagen Group, plans to cut jobs while expanding its electric vehicle lineup, aiming to achieve an 8% sales growth this year. In order to optimize operational efficiency, Skoda plans to cut 20% of jobs, mainly through natural attrition. In terms of product planning, Skoda is considering launching a pure electric version of its best-selling model Octavia to enrich its existing pure electric vehicle lineup. Currently, Skoda's electric vehicle lineup includes the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe compact SUVs, as well as the smaller Elroq compact crossover. This electric car may be a derivative of the Octavia, and the model will also be available in a plug-in hybrid version.
