About Cainiao Autonomous Driving Company

At the end of 2015, Cainiao ET Lab was quietly established, and its first important task was to develop unmanned logistics vehicles. At the Yunqi Conference in October 2017, DAMO Academy (autonomous driving) was born, and two teams emerged to work on unmanned vehicles. In 2019, Alibaba adjusted the two logistics unmanned vehicle teams, and ET Lab joined DAMO Academy's autonomous driving. In September 2020, Alibaba officially released the logistics robot Xiaomanlu (Cainiao unmanned vehicle) at the Yunqi Conference. DAMO Academy has 14 laboratories and research centers in 8 regions around the world. It has also incubated two high-tech companies, Pingtouge Semiconductor and Xiaomanlu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.
