Tesla's latest generation of hardware system HW4.0 has made significant improvements in absolute positioning hardware configuration. Compared with the previous generation HW3.0 system, the GNSS front end of HW4.0 is STMicroelectronics' STA5635A, which costs about US$3-4; the signal reception and processing is STMicroelectronics' STA8100GA, which costs about US$7.2; the IMU is STMicroelectronics' ASM330LHH, which costs US$5.9.
