Pickup truck market sales to grow 3% in September 2024, with exports accounting for 52%

In September 2024, the pickup truck market sales volume reached 45,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 3% and a month-on-month increase of 17%, which is at the median level in the past five years. From January to September this year, the pickup truck sales volume was 386,000 units, achieving a year-on-year increase of 2%. Despite the sluggish performance of the overall auto market, the pickup truck market has risen against the trend. In particular, brands such as Great Wall Motors, SAIC Maxus, and JAC Motors have performed particularly well in overseas markets. In September, the export volume of pickup trucks was 24,000 units, accounting for 52% of the total sales, showing the strong export momentum of pickup trucks as international models.
