NIO obtains new patent, innovative three-dimensional parking garage reduces construction costs

NIO recently successfully obtained a patent titled "Battery-swapable three-dimensional garage and battery-swap method". The patent application was filed in May 2017. Its core is to reduce the construction cost of new energy vehicle battery swap stations through a double-layer three-dimensional design. The technology includes a drive unit, multiple movable parking spaces, and a battery swap unit. The drive unit is responsible for moving the vehicle to the target parking space, while the battery swap unit is responsible for replacing the vehicle's energy storage unit. NIO said that the goal of this patent is to reduce the construction cost of charging and swapping stations while improving service efficiency.
