GM to cut 1,695 jobs at Kansas plant

According to reports, General Motors announced that it will temporarily lay off two-thirds of the workers at the Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas, USA, a total of 1,695 people. The move is to facilitate the installation of new tools to increase the production of the new Chevrolet Bolt EV. The plant is expected to resume production in mid-2025.
