Didi's autonomous driving unit seeks new round of financing

Didi's autonomous driving division is seeking a new round of hundreds of millions of dollars in financing. If the financing is completed, the division's valuation may reach about $5 billion. People familiar with the matter said that Didi's autonomous driving division plans to raise hundreds of millions of dollars and is currently negotiating with potential investors including Beijing Fund. Didi plans to use the funds to continue developing autonomous driving technology and accelerate the mass production of its autonomous taxis.
