Mercedes-Benz develops new In-Drive electric drive system, eliminating traditional rear wheel brakes

Mercedes-Benz recently launched an innovative In-Drive electric drive system that eliminates the traditional rear wheel brakes. Although the system has not yet been road tested, Mercedes-Benz plans to integrate it into the electric drive system to replace traditional brakes. The In-Drive brakes are integrated into the motor transmission on the left and right sides, replacing traditional brakes.
