Avanci strengthens its IoT/automotive SEP licensing market position with litigation

Avanci's patent infringement lawsuit against BYD through its licensor Sol IP may further consolidate its position as a "market maker" in IoT/automotive SEP licensing. In August 2020, Avanci forced Daimler to accept a license through its other licensor Nokia. This lawsuit against BYD through Sol IP may further consolidate Avanci's market position.
