WeRide Management Team

WeRide CEO Han Xu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of Missouri and the former chief scientist of Baidu's autonomous driving division. CTO Li Yan graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and later joined Microsoft Research Asia, where he did a lot of research in computer vision, especially stereo vision. COO Zhang Li (resigned) holds an EMBA from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and was a senior vice president and chief of staff to the CEO of Cisco Greater China. Vice President of Engineering Zhong Hua holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and was the former chief architect of Shenzhou Autonomous Driving. He has worked at Microsoft Research Asia, Google, and Siemens Research. Vice President Yang Xiongqing is the former senior director of driverless driving at Didi Chuxing.
