WeRide Product Development History

WeRide launched the first generation of test vehicles based on the Lincoln MKZ in July 2017. In November 2018, the second generation and Guangzhou Public Transport Group Baiyun Company jointly launched China's first compliant self-driving taxi with a roof light. After that, WeRide reached cooperation with Renault, GAC Trumpchi, etc. to expand the scale of the self-driving fleet. In December 2019, the third generation launched the first self-driving roof integrated integration kit WeRide Smart Suite 3.0, which will be used for the mass production and operation of WeRide Robotaxi. Including cooling and cleaning systems, WeRide's self-developed camera modules, laser radar, millimeter wave radar, GPS, etc. In October 2021, the fourth generation of small-size and lightweight sensor kit WeRide Sensor Suite 4.0, which is installed on the Robotaxi built on the AION S pure electric model under GAC Group, has been connected to the Ruqi travel platform and entered large-scale testing. In June 2022, the fifth generation released a new generation of autonomous driving sensor kit called "WeRide Sensor Suite 5.0" (abbreviated as WeRide SS 5.0), which has been installed in Robotaxi autonomous driving taxis.
