Volkswagen China and CATL reached a cooperation intention in the field of battery swapping

Volkswagen China has confirmed that it has reached a cooperation intention with CATL in the field of battery swapping. Although the specific cooperation plan has not yet been determined, the two parties have clarified the content of cooperation in the battery swapping business in the memorandum. The strategic cooperation memorandum signed by Volkswagen Group (China) and CATL in late February shows that the two parties will jointly commit to the research and development of new energy vehicle lithium batteries, new material applications, and parts development, including the battery swapping business.
