Qualcomm CEO claims new modem will be far ahead of Apple

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said its newly released X85 modem will significantly outperform Apple's own designed modems. As the world's largest modem supplier, Qualcomm has long provided core components for Apple's iPhone. However, Apple acquired Intel's modem business in 2019 and began designing its own modems. Apple released its first modem, the iPhone 16e, last month, while Qualcomm launched its latest X85 modem this month.
