Stefan Hartung, CEO of automotive parts supplier Bosch, revealed on September 21 that due to the uncertainty of the economic situation, the company has not ruled out the possibility of closing the Hildesheim electric vehicle drive motor factory in northern Germany, nor has it ruled out the possibility of further layoffs. Hartung said, "The current economic situation makes it very difficult to make predictions. For example, no one can seriously predict what kind of production will be needed in which areas in five years. Therefore, the transfer or reduction of production capacity cannot be ruled out." Although no adjustment decision has been made for the plant, Bosch will negotiate with employee representatives to ensure the company's competitiveness.
