According to reports, the U.S. Department of Commerce plans to propose a new ban on the use of Chinese-made autonomous driving software and hardware in connected autonomous vehicles in the U.S. on the grounds of national security. The ban is expected to take effect in 2027, first involving the software part, and then expand to hardware after 2029, including various technologies such as Bluetooth and satellite connections.
