The humanoid robot Iron, independently developed by Xiaopeng Motors, has been put into use and plans to achieve large-scale mass production in 2026. The robot is 178cm tall and weighs 70kg. It is equipped with 62 active degrees of freedom joints throughout its body. Its hands adopt the "15 degrees of freedom + tactile feedback" design, and the maximum load of a single finger is 3kg. It is equipped with the AI Eagle Eye vision system that is the same as the Xiaopeng XNGP autonomous driving system. It realizes 360-degree environmental modeling through 4D millimeter-wave radar and dual Orin-X chips, and can identify and avoid moving obstacles within 0.1 seconds. At present, the Iron robot has undertaken the assembly tasks of some automotive components in the Guangzhou factory.
