Mercedes and China's Hesai LiDAR partner to develop smart cars for global market

Mercedes-Benz announced that it will cooperate with China's Hesai LiDAR to develop smart driving cars equipped with LiDAR sensors for the global market. Hesai plans to expand two production lines, and its annual production capacity is expected to exceed 2 million vehicles this year to meet market demand. In addition, Hesai also plans to set up production lines overseas, starting as early as next year, to serve Chinese customers who are concerned about tariffs and logistics risks.
