Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced at a White House press conference that driven by the Trump administration's policies, Tesla plans to double its annual production of electric vehicles in the United States from the current 700,000 to 1.4 million in the next two years. This goal needs to be achieved through three measures: launching two new economical cars based on the Model 3/Y production line within the year to release 200,000 production capacity, completing the mass production of 50,000 Semi electric trucks/year at the Nevada factory in 2025, and putting Cybercab into production in 2026 based on the new platform of the Texas factory (expected to contribute 450,000 units/year of production capacity, requiring collaboration from multiple factories).
