Tesla denies working with Baidu to improve assisted driving, only involving map navigation

Tesla recently denied the news that it was working with Baidu to improve the performance of its fully autonomous driving system (FSD) in China. Although there were reports that the Baidu Maps team had sent engineers to Tesla's Beijing office to optimize the combination of FSD and Baidu navigation map information, Tesla China representatives made it clear that the cooperation between the two parties was limited to the map navigation level. In fact, Tesla's cooperation with Baidu on map services began in 2020, when Tesla's map data service provider in China was changed to Baidu Maps.
