Samsung SDI signs $300 million energy storage system order

Samsung SDI, a subsidiary of Samsung Group, recently signed a contract with US company NextEra Energy to supply batteries for an energy storage system (ESS), a project with an investment of approximately 437.4 billion won (about 300.7 million U.S. dollars). Samsung SDI said in a regulatory filing that the two companies had signed a supply agreement on Thursday as part of a multi-stage energy storage system battery supply agreement between the two parties.
