Midea Group plans to develop humanoid robot business

In 2024, Midea Group announced that it had begun to develop humanoid robot business, and officially became one of the international humanoid robot "players". Wei Chang, Vice President and CTO of Midea Group, revealed that Midea recently established a humanoid robot innovation center to increase its efforts in research and development in related fields. In 2017, Midea Group officially entered the robot and automation market by acquiring the robot company "KUKA", and completed the full acquisition and privatization of Kuka in 2022.
